PhD Candidate Yanfeng Xu Receives Chinese Government Award


PhD Candidate Yanfeng Xu was selected to receive a most prestigious award, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Chinese Students Abroad! Yanfeng is one of 164 winners in the United States.

This highly competitive award was founded by the China Scholarship Council, Ministry of Education in 2003 with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of self-financed Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies are considered by the award selection panel and no more than 500 young talented graduates in all disciplines all over the world are granted the award each year. The award includes $6,000 and a certificate.
