Preparing the Future - HIV Educational Sessions

HIV ribbon

Because of tireless advocacy and medical innovation, HIV has migrated from a terminal to treatable chronic health condition. However, despite this migration, there is much to be done to shift the clinical and social outcomes for those living with HIV. As Social Workers, we stand to play a critical role in supporting and advocating for individuals and communities impacted by this treatable and chronic health condition. UMD Social Work Students have a wonderful opportunity to take an array of free inter-professional HIV courses over the course of the Spring Semester. Please see the attached handout to learn more about the dates, times, and how to register. For additional questions about the program, you may contact Professor Westgate directly at swestgate@ssw.umaryland.edu.
