Nationally Renowned Training Workshop for Professionals Serving Low-Income Families with Young Child

The Chicago Parent Program is an evidence-based program for strengthening parenting skills and reducing behavior problems in young children (2-5 years old), with a special focus on helping families from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds. This interactive, two-day workshop trains health and educational professionals and paraprofessionals on how to effectively lead Chicago Parent Program groups. The Chicago Parent Program has been shown to significantly improve parenting and reduce behavior problems in young children and has been used in agencies serving low-income families in over 19 states and the District of Columbia. The program is listed on the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (SAMHSA), the California Evidence-based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare, and the Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness.
