January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Join the Ruth Young Center's Prevention of Adolescent Risk Initiative on January 12 at an event held with and at St Matthew Catholic Church (5401 Loch Raven Blvd).
State, city, and local leaders will provide information and education on spotting the signs of human trafficking in our community, victim vulnerability, and social safety nets. Nicole Lee, Executive Director of the SOAR Project will be providing remarks. Sessions will be lead by UMSSW's Nadine Finigan-Carr, PhD and Amelia Rubenstein, LCSW.
