Macro students: Are you interested in a field placement with a federal agency that specializes in mental health and substance abuse policy and service delivery, including issues related to topics such as children & families, evidence-based practices, medication assisted treatment and the Opioid Crisis?
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is planning to host up to 4 advanced year macro field placements for academic year 2019-2020. Placements with SAMHSA offer a unique opportunity to get experience inside the Federal Government, with opportunities to work in various divisions and on a variety of issues that affect children, adolescents and adults. Students will be integrated as a part of the team at SAMHSA working on exciting initiatives and networking with various stakeholders and agencies.
If you have questions or would like to learn more about placements with SAMHSA, please contact Angela Jachelski, Macro Field Coordinator. Ajachelski@ssw.umaryland.edu.
