Communicating With People Who Know More Than They Can Say: Tools for Communicative Access & Supportive Conversation
This three-hour training workshop will provide you with the knowledge, training, and resources needed to effectively communicate with your patients with communication difficulties. Research has shown that health professionals benefit from training in Supportive Conversation and use of pictorial resources to allow people with communication impairments to participate in decisions about their lives, share their opinions and concerns and feel understood and valued. Tool kits and free downloadable resources will be presented.
