Shasha Satchell, Resource Mom/Certified Lactation Counselor/Doula and Meldon Dickens, Resource Dad of UMSSW Promise Heights, along with Dr. Wendy Lane, Associate Professor at UMSOM’s Department of Epidemiology and Public Health presented program updates regarding the expansion work in the Greater Mondawmin community at the annual Association of American Medical Colleges,Learn Lead Serve 2018 conference, held in Austin, Texas.
The group presented highlights on a breastfeeding survey of African American women’s knowledge, attitudes and barriers encountered in breastfeeding.
