Clinical Instructor Manley Receives Funding for Michigan Public Health Institute Project

The Michigan Public Health Institute has awarded the SSW $35,000 to help Elizabeth Manley, Clinical Instructor for Health and Behavioral Health Policy at the SSW's Institute for Innovation and Implementation, assist the Michigan Public Health Institute in the development and implementation of a community psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) specifically designed to meet the needs of youth with complex behavioral health and developmental challenges.

The project focuses on the technical assistance necessary to design a program that will provides supports necessary to meet the needs of the youth and family in an effort to minimize the use of the state psychiatric hospital. The PRTF will be located in the community in a small home and will provide trauma informed care.
