The United Way of Central Maryland has awarded the SSW's Promise Heights Initiative $75,000 to help implement its Family Prosperity Program.
The project will provide financial case management and coaching to prevent eviction and foster the economic stability of families in the Upton / Druid Heights neighborhoods of West Baltimore. The potential impact will enable children in the Promise Heights community schools to advance academically by providing a stable home environment, to aid parents in increasing their income and supports, and decrease the mental/behavioral, economic, legal, and systemic barriers faced by families in pursuit of prosperity.
