The Baltimore City Health Department has awarded $150,000 to the UMSSW's Promise Heights initiative to help fund its Map for Success Project.
The purpose of the project is to reach young parents in Baltimore City who need support of achieve their personal development and parental goals. The project will use data-backed recruitment techniques to find young people lost to care, specialized educational navigators to help connect with education opportunities and evidence based interventions to build peer connections. The program intends to change policies and practices to better support expectant and parenting youth in accessing education and integrate young fathers in services.
