AmeriCorps

The Maryland Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism announced that 21 Maryland organizations will receive more than $4.6 million in AmeriCorps grants from the Corporation for National and Community Service for initiatives taking place from August 15, 2018 to August 14, 2019. The grants will provide funding for living stipends for AmeriCorps members – individuals who will commit up to one year of service to support the mission of local organizations and improve Maryland communities.

The School of Social Work's Promise Heights Initiative will receive over $144,000 in funding to help support their AmeriCorps College & Career Coordinator (CCC) for Renaissance Academy High School in Baltimore.
