Alumni Association Scholarship (Awarded for Merit) Three scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded from the Alumni Association’s Scholarship Fund. Bou Family International Scholarship An annual scholarship of up to $5,000 is available to a second-year student with an interest in international affairs/service. Richard W. Friedman Scholarship for Juvenile Justice or Criminal Justice A $2,000 scholarship will be given to a student who plan to pursue careers in juvenile justice or criminal justice. Dr. Oliver C. Harris Scholarship for the Prevention of Intimate Partner Violence A $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with an abiding interest in the prevention of intimate partner violence through the practice of social work. The Gwendolyn C. Lee Award for Innovative Practice by a Social Work Student A $2,000 award will be given to a student who has carried out a successful piece of innovative practice at their field instruction site with an organization, community, or on behalf of individuals. Julie and Erol Oktay Scholarship for Oncology Social Work A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with a commitment to the field of oncology social work. Linda S. Shapiro Scholarship A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with a commitment to the clinical field of practice. Camille Baudot Wheeler Scholarship for Policy Studies A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with an abiding interest in policy studies. The Wise Family Scholarship for Addiction Studies A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with a commitment to furthering their career in addiction studies. The Woodside Foundation Scholarship in Financial Social Work (*Extended deadline of May 14th) A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with a commitment to the field of financial social work.
