In this workshop, we will discuss the linguistic and cultural practices that shape our notions of writing competence in the context of STEM fields and twenty-first century global realities. Specifically, we will explore possibilities for practicing inclusive feedback as collaborative learning with student writers. Bring with you to the workshop several sample comments that you generally offer on drafts, addressing any typically problematic patterns in student texts. Plan to leave with additional feedback strategies that work for your students and you!
