Create your own unique researcher ID with ORCID

In honor of National Orchid Day, the Health Sciences & Human Services Library is encouraging current and future researchers distinguish themselves with a very different kind of ORCID. An ORCID is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher and ensures that your work is recognized by connecting you to your professional and scholarly activities. You can keep your ORCID throughout your career, even when you change jobs or graduate. To register for an ORCID, look for our pop-up table at your school during the week of April 16, or register yourself at orcid.org/. When you visit the pop-up, submit your ORCID to enter a drawing for $25.00 Amazon gift cards. Look for the pop-up in these locations to learn more about ORCID and register: School of Dentistry – Monday, April 16, 12:00 – 2:00 (1st floor) School of Social Work – Tuesday, April 17, 12:00 – 2:00 (3 West) School of Medicine – Wednesday, April 18, 12:00 – 2:00 (HSF1 near the 2nd floor elevators) School of Nursing – Thursday, April 19, 12:00 – 2:00 (1st floor lobby) For more information, visit guides.hshsl.umaryland.edu/orcid
