Please join us for a panel presentation on current work on Criminal Justice Policy in Baltimore and Maryland, Thursday, 3/15, 2:00-3:45pm in UMSSW Room 3E34, including: >> Shantay Guy is Executive Director of Baltimore Community Mediation Center (BCMC) and community liaison for the Monitoring Team that is independently monitoring the Baltimore Police Department's progress under its Consent Decree with the US Department of Justice. >> Christopher Ervin is Executive Director of the Lazarus Rite, a non-profit organization designed to keep returning citizens from recidivism by providing individual services, and a criminal justice reform advocate, especially in the area of felony disenfranchisement and expungement >> Neijma Celestine-Donner is an Instructor in the Child Welfare Academy and the UM School of Social Work working on ending Human Trafficking in Maryland, particularly by training social workers to understand Child Trafficking policies, read the signs of trafficking victimization, and provide services to survivors. >> Deb Eisenberg is a UM Carey School of Law Professor, and Director of the University of Maryland Center for Dispute Resolution (C-DRUM), and Chair of the Commission on the School-to-Prison Pipeline and Restorative Practices, created by the Maryland General Assembly in 2017.
