Please consider applying for a paid summer internship at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Social Work Department.
You will be supporting Schuyler Cunningham, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C, BCD and the research team on a study that is comparing psychosocial distress and traumatic stress symptoms in people with four types of cancer. A longer description of the study can be found here.
You will help with data entry, literature review, shadowing team members in consenting patients, and administering study questionnaires.
You will get one-on-one mentoring from Mr. Cunningham and his team members. You and the research team will present a poster at an NIH research day at the end of the internship.
