Throughout this semester, explore with us how to advocate for science and social change through writing. In the spirit of UMB's commitment to interprofessional education, discussions and workshops in this series will focus on local and national policy issues, perspectives on advocacy, and strategies for writing your own voice into action. Join us for our first event in this series, an evening with award-wining science journalist Joe Palca, Correspondent, Science Desk, National Public Radio (NPR), for a discussion about writing as a tool for science advocacy. Reception with light refreshments to follow. Please RSVP on www.umaryland.edu/writing This event is co-sponsored by SUPER (Students United for Policy, Education and Research), SOAP (Student Organization for Advocacy and Policy), and EIN (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Network)
