Become a Volunteer—The Visitors Project for People with Dementia

The Visitors Project for People with Dementia (VPPD) provides compassionate human connection to residents in local nursing homes who do not receive regular visits from family or friends. This project is a collaborative effort of local clergy, health and social service professionals and consultants on aging.

VPPD is seeking volunteers to participate in the most precious gift you can give another—the gift of your time and presence.

Our training program with area experts prepares you to provide one-on-one visits with a person whose heart is longing for your companionship. Scheduling is flexible.

To learn more about the Visitors Project for People with Dementia, contact Ken Silverstein, VPPD Coordinator at KenVisitorsProject@gmail.com or phone 301-570-6664.

The Visitors Project for People with Dementia is funded in part by the Montgomery County Executive’s Grant Program and is under the auspices of the Am Kolel Renewal Community of Greater Washington.
