Associate Professor Corey Shdaimah participated in an invitation-only Day of Discussion on “Diversion” Programs: Centering Sex Workers’ Health and Rights at Yale University on December 15, 2017.

The Day, sponsored by Yale University Schools of Law and Global Health, and convened by Yale’s Global Health Justice Partnership and Sex Worker and Allies Network of New Haven (SWAN) brought together community organizers, academics, researchers, and funders to discuss latest research on prostitution diversion programs and how best to enhance inclusion of sex worker voices in program planning, policy, and research. The second half of the day brought together New Haven city officials, funders, and non-profits service providers to discussion New Haven’s emerging Law Enforcement-Assisted Diversion Program.
