Message for Students:
This is an additional follow up to Dean Barth’s email from Tuesday, December 11, 2017 that informed our school community about a suicide that occurred that day. In addition to posting campus resources below to assist any student needing support and/or assistance with managing stress, we are also providing an off campus hotline for student use. The UMB campus will close on Friday, December 22, 2017 and will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. During that closure, students are encouraged to contact the hotline for assistance. Additionally, we are including a link to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s home page and Risk Factors and Warning Signs information. This information is intended to provide clarification and general information related to suicide. We value all of our students and we are sending this message to make you aware of both on and off campus resources that are accessible to students.
