Associate Professor Corey Shdaimah presented at the Annual Meetings of the American Society of Criminology on Thursday, November 16th at a round table featuring her recently published edited volume Challenging Perspective on Street-Based Sex Work.
The round table featured co-editors Chrysanthi Leon (University of Delaware) and chapter authors PhD student Marie Bailey-Kloch, Edith Kinney (San Jose State University), and Aneesa Baboolal (University of Delaware) and commentators. The lively, well-attended panel featured discussion around controversial portrayals of prostitution, street-based sex work, and trafficking as well as the impact of stigma and control in the regulation of sex work in the US and countries around the world.
