Interested in Addressing Homelessness and Housing Problems?

Which social workers have not encountered clients with housing problems? Who has not seen people experiencing homelessness and wondered why this problem is so ubiquitous in a wealthy country such as ours? In the Spring 2018 semester, SSW will again offer the new course Housing, Homelessness, and Social Policy, SOWK 699. The instructor, Jeff Singer, has nearly fifty years of experience exploring homelessness and housing issues from clinical, policy, and advocacy perspectives. Classes will include exciting speakers, historical and current events, and the opportunity to explore other countries (including their cuisine). The class will meet on Wednesdays from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. Please address questions to jeff.singer@ssw.umaryland.edu. Venceremos!
