Social Workers in public child welfare practice respond to reports of child maltreatment, provide services to assist families to safely care for their children and promote child well-being and family stability. Do you see yourself being part of this vitally important practice area?
The Title IV-E Education for Public Child Welfare Program provides field placements in public child welfare agencies, child welfare training seminars, and financial stipends for social work students preparing for a career in public child welfare. There are currently opportunities for students beginning their foundation and advanced year field placement in the fall of 2019.
There will be a Title IV-E Information Session on Monday, December 3rd, and Tuesday, December 4th, at 12:30 PM in the Title IV-E Office, Room 2W07. Pizza will be available along with program information.
If you are interested, but not able to attend, you may contact us for more information at Titleiv-e@ssw.umaryland.edu.
