Faculty Workshop: Debriefing with 'Good Judgement' December 14

The Center for Interprofessional Education is sponsoring a four-hour debriefing workshop on Thursday, December 14 from 1 – 5 p.m. in the School of Nursing for faculty members who use simulation based education/experiences in their program.

This workshop will provide an introduction to “Debriefing with ‘Good Judgement’”. This theory based debriefing method, while initiated in medicine, is versatile across disciplines. To facilitate discipline-specific learning, there will be a portion of the workshop to discuss application to those disciplines represented. An interdisciplinary team of trained debriefing educators from across the UMB campus will facilitate this workshop.

The workshop can accommodate 24 faculty members. To provide a rich workshop, we would like to have representation from each UMB campus school. The UMB Center for Interprofessional Education Director (Jane Kirschling) and Co-Directors (Heather Congdon and Dave Mallott) invite you to submit one paragraph (approximately 200 words) explaining your interest in participating in this workshop and the type of students and courses that you teach to Patricia Danielewicz pdanielewicz@umaryland.edu by November 20.
