Breast Cancer Risk and Prevention: The Facts, the Myths, and the Gray Areas in Between

The 2017-18 School of Nursing Dean's Lecture Series, on Determinants of Health, kicks off with the Virginia Lee Franklin Lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. in the UMSON auditorium, Room 130: "Breast Cancer Risk and Prevention: The Facts, the Myths, and the Gray Areas in Between" by Emily Bellavance, MD, FACS, assistant professor of surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, Department of Surgery, University of Maryland School of Medicine. It considers determinants of risk for breast cancer and evidence-based preventative factors.

She will be joined by a panel of breast cancer experts to discuss and answer questions about breast cancer risk and prevention. A reception will follow.
