PhD Student, Rachel Imboden, MSW, LSW and Courtney Bettle, AFC, Director of Financial Capability, CASH Campaign Maryland, presented on the development, delivery, and evaluation of a collaborative financial capability project at the September 2017 Common Cents Conference.
A series of financial education workshops drawn from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Money Smart curriculum were selected and provided to low-wage employees within five hospitals in a large Mid-Atlantic city. Results related to financial stress, knowledge, and self-efficacy were discussed as were considerations for future research.
