School of Medicine Social Justice Curriculum Lecture October 2

Please join us for our lecture series with the School of Medicine Social Justice Curriculum. This semester the series will focus on issues that children face in our country.

We are delighted that our next lecturer is Melissa Rock. She will lead us in a discussion about the child welfare system. She is a graduate of George Washington University School of Law. She works at the Advocates for Children and Youth (ACY), an organization founded to address needs of Maryland children. She is currently the director of the Zero to Three Strategic Initiative. In this position, she partners with community and public agencies to strengthen the support system for families and young children. Prior to this she was ACY’s Child Welfare Director for seven years.
