On behalf of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at the University of Maryland we would like to invite you to our first lecture of the 2017/2018 academic year as part of our annual History of Medicine Lecture Series. Dr. Marisela Gomez, a physician, public health expert, author, and local community activist, will be speaking about the history of public health in Baltimore. Her lecture entitled “Welcome to Baltimore: a social determinant of health” will take place on Friday, August 11th at 1:30pm in Leadership Hall (located within the Medical Student Teaching Facility, MSTF).
