Dr. Dababnah receives 4-year grant to test intervention for parents raising children with autism

Dr. Sarah Dababnah received funding from The Duke Endowment to conduct a randomized controlled trial of The Incredible Years program for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The 4-year project was awarded $524,000, and represents one of the first efforts to rigorously test this program in the autism community. In collaboration with her community partners, Dr. Dababnah will assess the feasibility of offering the program to families of children ages 2-8 with autism; expand access to the program across several counties in eastern North Carolina; and, evaluate changes in child and caregiver outcomes.
