Monday, February 13, from noon-2pm UMSSW, Room 2e14 Join others to watch and discuss How to Survive a Plague, the Academy Award-nominated film that tells the story of activists who demanded the attention of a fearful nation, and helped reverse the tide of an epidemic - stopping AIDS from becoming a death sentence. The activists bucked oppression using a diversity of methods. Their efforts have inspired movements for change in everything from breast cancer research to Occupy Wall Street. Pizza will be provided.
