Dr Jay Unick discussed the evidence supporting safe injection facilities (SIFs) as an effort to reduce opiate overdoses with Buzzfeed reporter Azeen Ghorayshi.
In the article, Dr Unick points out that SIFs have been used all over the world to reduce opiate overdoses and that the current political controversy over SIFs was similar for evidence based harm reduction approaches such as needle exchange.
