Dr. Swanberg and School of Medicine Co-PI Receive Funding to Study the Influence of Employment Condi


Dr. Jennifer Swanberg, Professor, School of Social Work and Dr. Kate Tracy, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Maryland School of Medicine have received two grants to examine the employment factors that may influence breast cancer survivors’ treatment decisions and receipt of treatment and whether these experiences differ for working poor and working non-poor breast cancer survivors.

One grant for $50,000 is from the University of Maryland Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center FY2017 Pilot Grant Program and the other grant for $18,000 is from University of Maryland School of Medicine Program in Health Disparities and Population Health.
