Dr. Jennifer Kelman Invited to Serve on Curriculum Advisory Committee for Building Evidence Training

Dr. Jennifer Kelman, Director of the Child Welfare Academy, has been invited to participate as a member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee for the Children's Bureau-supported Building Evidence Training (BET) Project.

The BET Project will engage accredited schools of social work and state child welfare training academies to test new or adapted curricula to build the knowledge and skills of current and future child welfare front line staff. The curricula will focus on practical strategies to support evidence building in child welfare; and evidence informed processes for designing and implementing changes in child welfare practice. As a committee member, Dr. Kelman will review curriculum, serve as a champion for pilot testing and curriculum adoption, and help identify potential pilot sites.
