A group of SSW faculty, staff, and students have reserved two coach buses to provide transport to people to the Women's March on Washington on January 21st.
The buses will leave from a pickup site in the vicinity of Redwood and Greene Streets around 7:30am on Saturday, January 21. The march is scheduled to begin at 10am near the U.S. Capitol building. We will return after the march and related activities - by 8pm.
You can reserve a seat on the bus for yourself - and for anyone else who wants to join. (Please note, this is not a University of Maryland, School of Social Work event. Anyone is welcome to ride the buses.)
You can reserve a seat on the bus by providing a name and $35 for each seat reservation.
Please do the following:
1. Email adamfschneider@gmail.com with your name and the names of any other individuals who will be riding with you on the bus (that you will be paying for together).
2. Log into PayPal and send $35 per seat to the same email (adamfschneider@gmail.com). In the notes, please add the names of the people that you for whom you will be paying as well as an email where you can be contacted if there are any changes to the schedule, etc.
To reiterate, this is not a UM Social work event, but as a group of Social Work staff, students, and faculty, we would like to invite all students, alumni, and friends of the School to participate in this historic march.
