The UMB Center for Global Education Initiatives invites students to apply for six short-term global health interprofessional projects, summer, 2017.
Projects are in: - Botswana (HIV), - Egypt (health research ethics), - Liberia (barriers to HIV care), - Nigeria (barriers to cervical cancer screening), - Rwanda (barriers to ART treatment), and - Zambia (Antimicrobial resistance/treating/preventing infectious diseases).
In past years, social work students have participated in over half of all grant projects. Applications due Dec. 2, results will be known Jan. 4. Go to www.umaryland.edu/global for detailed descriptions of each project, grant parameters, and to complete the grant application.
