FREE Hospice Workshop for Students


For students interested in hospice, palliative care, oncology or related practice settings, please see consider the following FREE training opportunity.

November 16-17, 2016 Compass Regional Hospice FREE workshop for University System of Maryland students Lodging, materials, and meals included Travel stipend provided Two days of hospice patient contact in the field and in the hospice house. See attached agenda and registration form.

Compass Regional Hospice 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617 The six-bed Hospice Center in Centreville is the only free-standing facility on the Eastern Shore licensed to provide general inpatient care. This level of care is provided on a short-term basis for individuals who need around-the clock nursing care for pain and symptom management that cannot be handled at home.

Dates: Wednesday & Thursday November 16- 17, 2016 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Hospice Care Overnight accommodations available at the Sleep Inn in Grasonville for Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights if requested. Continental Breakfast & Lunch will be provided at the facility. A group dinner with Hospice staff will be scheduled for Wednesday evening at a local restaurant.
