The Voter Empowerment Campaign is urging faculty, social work students and organizations to encourage and promote the importance of voting.
Win prizes for video recording your beliefs about participating in the voting process. Will you be voting in the upcoming elections? If yes, send us a 30-second video about why you decided to vote? If no, send us a 30-second video about why are not exercising your right to vote.
A Grand Prize of $200, a second-place prize of $100, and four (4) $50 prizes will be given for the most creative and thoughtful 30-second videos submitted in the contest. Videos will be judged by a panel of social work students from schools throughout the country.
The contest is opened to young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 years old. Videos must be submitted via Google Drive no later than October 31, 2016. Use high-quality recording on your cellphone or recording device. The contest producer reserves the right to disqualify any video due to content or quality concerns. Submitted videos become the property of the contest producer.
Each contestant is allowed to submit one video.
