WE NEED YOU to help promote this year's 2016 Heart Walk.
We are hosting a kickoff event for the walk here on Campus next Thursday, September 22 noon to 1 p.m. on the School of Nursing lawn. The actual Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, October 8 at the Camden Yards Sports Complex. The activities begin at 9am and the walk begins at 10am. The hope is to have as many people as possible come out to the AHA Heart Walk on 10/8 dressed in their I HEART UMB t-shirt to show the community how much UMB cares about the fight against heart disease and stroke. A variety of ways have been created for the campus community to become involved. We are far below our goal of $25,000 (not only to $1,000 yet) and only have 19 walkers registered. You may see us walking around in our heart gear selling paper hearts so please stop us and say hello.
