Join staff members of UMB's Community Engagement Center to help clean and green a neighborhood park near campus. Meet at the Community Engagement Center at 870 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore 21201 and head out to the site in teams. Volunteers will learn more about Southwest Baltimore and help improve local streetscapes with a community garden. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring sunscreen and a bottle of water. Tools and gloves will be provided.
The CEC gives West Baltimore residents a place to access services promoting neighborhood and economic development. The center brings the University and community together to solve complex and persistent problems that diminish residents’ quality of life.
