-- Health Leaders will have an opportunity to engage in activities consistent with the Core Competencies for Inter-professional Collaborative Practice such as team building, communication, and roles/responsibilities. -- Health Leaders are required to attend a one day orientation session (scheduled for Saturday, September 10th from 9 am until 3 pm) and commit to volunteering the entire semester. -- Health Leaders work in teams of 3-4 UMB Students (representing the various UMB professional schools) with a group of ~15 elementary children. --Program is implemented in the after-school setting in West Baltimore elementary schools (times 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm-5:00 pm or 4:30 pm-5:30 pm).
