Updated: Dec 10, 2021

Title IV-E Information Sessions - Interested in Making a Difference in Lives of Maryland’s Children and Families?

The Title IV-E Education for Public Child Welfare Program prepares MSW students to practice in Maryland’s public child welfare programs. The program provides field placements in public child welfare agencies, cutting-edge training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma education, field seminars, and education in best practices in child welfare policy and practice. Participants receive an educational stipend of $10,000 annually and agree to seek post-graduate employment in Maryland’s public child welfare system.

Social Workers in public child welfare practice respond to reports of child maltreatment, provide services to assist families to safely care for their children, and promote child well-being and family stability. Do you see yourself being part of this vitally important practice area? There are currently opportunities for students beginning their foundation and advanced year field placement in the fall of 2022.
