PhD Students Clem and Zhang Awarded Scholarship for Japanese Cultural Immersion Class on Gerontology

Sarah Clem and Peiyuan Zhang were among ten students across UMB and UMBC to be accepted into the Global Aging: Gerontology in Japan course and awarded scholarships of $2,300 from the UMB Center for Global Engagement. Clem and Zhang will travel to Japan during the month of June 2023 for a two-week immersive experience exploring aging within the socio-cultural context of Japanese society.
