The Poverty Simulation is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family and survive from week to week. This interactive workshop allows participants to assume the roles of a family member facing poverty. Participants will have the opportunity to experience some of the daily challenges a family in poverty may endure over a simulated experience of one month. The Poverty Simulation lasts approximately 3 hours.
Gain an awareness of the challenges associated with poverty through acting in the role of an individual affected by impoverished conditions.
